How to Connect Klaviyo to WISMOlabs
Connecting Klaviyo to WISMOlabs is a simple process that enables WISMOlabs to send shipment events directly to Klaviyo. These events can then be used to trigger Flows configured within Klaviyo.
This guide outlines best practices for setting up the integration and configuring shipment-based Flows.
Determine Integration Method
For Shopify users using both the WISMOlabs Shopify App and Klaviyo Shopify App, generating shipping labels with Shopify setting up direct WISMOlabs connection with WISMOlabs maybe optional. WISMOlabs Shopify app sends enriched shipping events to Shopify, which Klaviyo can access via Shopify’s native integration.
However, if you are:
- Using e-Commerce platform other then Shopify or using Shopify without WISMOlabs Shopify App,
- Ship internationally or cross-border,
- Use multiple carriers,
- Work with 3PLs or carriers not supported by Shopify,
it is recommended to connect Klaviyo directly to WISMOlabs for more accurate and enriched event data.
BigCommerce, Magento, SalesForce, WooCommerce retailers, or Shopify retailers with complex logistics:
Step 1: Create a Klaviyo API Key
- Log in to your Klaviyo account.
- Go to Account > Settings > API Keys.
- Click Create API Key.
- (Optional) Add a descriptive label like WISMOlabs for easy identification.
Step 2: Connect API Key in WISMOlabs
- Navigate to Settings > Alerts > Klaviyo > Setting.
- Paste your Klaviyo API key into the provided field and save.
Step 3: Configure Shipment Events
In WISMOlabs, go to Klaviyo Alerts App and click any shipment event (e.g., Packed, Shipped, Delivered).
In the section “Trigger Klaviyo profile activity on the following shipment events,” check the boxes for events you'd like to send to Klaviyo.
In “Pass the following additional properties along with event name,” select extra data fields you want to send. These can be used inside Klaviyo Flows for personalization.
Now WISMOlabs Shipment events are added to Klaviyo and can be used in creating flow.
Shopify retailers relying on Shopify Klaviyo App integration
If you are using WISMOlabs to send Shipment events directly to Shopify in conjunction with Shopify Klaviyo app, you may use Shopify Shipment Related Events directly in your Klaviyo.
